On the morning of January 29, a centralized commencement ceremony of major projects kicked off in Changsha City.
The main venue was located in the project site of ultra-precision high-end manufacturing industry base in the Xiangjiang New Area, and there were 8 sub-venues including Jinyun Intelligent Manufacturing Center Project in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guohua Pharmaceutical Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Industry Headquarters and Comprehensive Production Base Project in Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Kingrich International Logistics City Phase III Area C Project in Kaifu District and Jinkai Cycle Power Battery High-end Raw Materials Industrial Park Project in Wangcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone.
340 major projects with each worth more than 50 million yuan were started, with an estimated total investment of 195.1 billion yuan and an estimated annual investment of 64 billion yuan. Compared with the same period in 2022, Changsha saw the number of commenced projects increase by 74 and the annual estimated investment grow by 13.4 billion yuan, with the growth rate reaching 28 percent and 26 percent respectively. 
There are 89 projects with each worth more than 500 million yuan, accounting for 26 percent of the total, including 41 projects with each worth 500 million yuan to 1 billion yuan and 38 projects with each worth 1 billion yuan to 5 billion yuan. 

There are 210 industrial development projects such as advanced manufacturing and scientific and technological innovation, with an estimated annual investment of 50.2 billion yuan, making up 62 percent and 78 percent of the total number of projects and the total annual estimated investment respectively. 
There are 82 infrastructure projects with an estimated annual investment of 5.9 billion yuan, accounting for 24 percent and 10 percent of the total number of projects and the total annual estimated investment respectively.

There are 48 social livelihood projects and ecological and environmental protection projects, with an estimated annual investment of 7.9 billion yuan, making up 14 percent and 12 percent of the total number of projects and the total annual estimated investment respectively.
In the new year, Changsha City will make every effort to take the initiative in economic growth, promote the quantity and quality of project construction and  accelerate the high-quality development of the provincial capital.
