Changsha Blue Moon Valley Intelligent Home Appliances Industrial Town
The industrial town is designed to optimize the strengths of industrial chains for intelligent home appliances jointly formed by Gree Electric Appliances Inc, Hisense Group, Sunwoda Electronic Co Ltd and more than 40 supporting firms. It will align with the national strategies of "Yangtze River Protection" and "Made in China 2025" and work with State policy-related banks like China Development Bank and the Agricultural Development Bank of China to promote its coordinated development with intelligent home appliances.
Covering an area of 12.1 square kilometers, the industrial town comprises three functional sections connected with intelligent manufacturing, supporting services and ecological conservation. Its core area focuses on the building of “One Center and Three Industrial Parks,” which are Blue Moon Valley Incubation Center of Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Intelligent Home Appliances Industrial Park, Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park and Intelligent Accessories for Home Appliances Industrial Park. Its goal is to further promote the settlement of intelligent home appliances firms in the upstream and downstream industrial chains and elevate the home appliances industry to a higher level.
With an investment of 350 million yuan (about $54 million), Blue Moon Valley Incubation Center of Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation covers an area of 52 mu (roughly 3.5 hectares) and has a floor space of 104,000 square meters. It consists of 16 buildings in four groups. The D5 Building is reserved for white collar workers. The rest of the buildings are mainly used for incubation and research affairs, which are expected to provide local firms with research, examination, incubation and office services.
Blue Moon Valley Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park covers an area of 223.6 mu and its floor space is about 236,500 square meters. With an investment of 700 million yuan, it comprises 11 standard workshops, one e-commerce building, relevant supporting facilities and a public canteen. So far, nine firms like Euro Standard (Hunan) Cosmetics and Hunan Trumjin Technology have settled there. The industrial park will focus on the settlement of small and medium-sized enterprises related to the internet and home appliances.
Blue Moon Valley Intelligent Home Appliances Industrial Park covers an area of 270 mu (180,000 square meters) and has a floor space of 265,000 square meters. With an investment of 1.24 billion yuan, it is composed of eight standard workshops, one comprehensive building, an underground parking lot and other supporting facilities. It aims to develop into a comprehensive production system that integrates production, office venues and supporting services. It was brought into operation in September 2020 and is expected to become home to famous home appliances firms. CEC Industrial Internet, a Global Fortune 500 company, has set up a branch in the industrial park. Meanwhile, the industrial park is currently working on the settlement of other high-tech firms.
With an investment of 501 million yuan, Blue Moon Valley Intelligent Accessories for Home Appliances Industrial Park occupies an area of 221 mu and boasts a floor space of 127,800 square meters. It is expected to be a major platform for the development of supporting firms connected with industrial chains for intelligent home appliances. Construction on the facility began in June 2020 and it was expected to begin operations at the beginning of 2021. It will give priority to the settlement of major firms in the home appliances supply chain, specifically companies specializing in SMT, molded plastic, metal plates and wiring harnesses.
