“Ningxiang City will strive to become the main bearing place for Changsha City to build an important national advanced manufacturing center, and advance to the top ten among the top 100 industrial counties in the country.” Huang Tao, deputy secretary of the Ningxiang Municipal Party Committee and mayor, said that Ningxiang City, as the gateway to the western Changsha City and a strong industrial city, has confidence, determination, foundation and ability to achieve this goal.

Changsha’s Government Work Report proposed that it is necessary to adhere to the direction of advanced manufacturing and accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system.

Huang Tao said that since the beginning of this year, Ningxiang City has always adhered to the strategy of being a strong industrial city, innovated and implemented investment promotion and services, and built a new industrial pattern of “three chains and two clusters”,witnessing a momentum of industrial development. The added value of the city’s large-scale industries increased by 8%, and 3 new enterprises with an output value of 10 billion yuan were added, bringing the total to 5, and industry has become the core engine for economic growth.

In 2023, Ningxiang City will focus on the real economy for economic development, firmly grasp the four focuses of enterprises, projects, industrial chains and parks, take key projects as priority, give full play to the industrial advantages, build a national demonstration zone for advanced manufacturing highland, and strive to add more than 2 enterprises with an output value of more than 10 billion.

The Government Work Report proposed that it is necessary to deeply implement the strategy of main functional areas and the strategy of new-type urbanization, comprehensively improve the quality of cities, and make every effort to promote the deep integration of urban and rural development.
