This 3-kilometre-long “Metasequoia Avenue” is a romantic corridor with tall and straight metasequoia trees, which are particularly attractive under the sunlight.

“This Internet-famous road used to be muddy and blocked due to age and disrepair.” Wen Zaiming, Party secretary of Shuangjiangkou Town, noted that the Shanyuan Village has fully mobilized villagers through party building to join the effort to create this “Internet-famous metasequoia road”.
At present, the road is 2,780 meters long, with a 4.2-meter wide roadbed and more than 3,000 metasequoia trees planted on both sides. The road surface has been completely renovated, paved with asphalt and coloured paint.
In addition, the wooden plank trails have been built along the road, and rape flowers have been planted in the 50-meter-long area near the road. The village plans to use this road with beautiful scenery such as metasequoia, rice and rape flowers to promote agricultural tourism.
