For several days, farmers have been busy picking chrysanthemums in Dongshan Village, Meitanba Town, Ningxiang City.
Chrysanthemums can be seen, eaten and used as medicine, with high practical value. Farmers will transport the chrysanthemums to the factory for processing. After sorting, drying, subpackaging, they will be stored at low temperature and sold to Anhui, Henan and other places.
Dongshan Village has planted more than 600 mu (40 hectares) of chrysanthemums. The blooming chrysanthemums not only beautify the countryside, but also bring the joy of harvest to villagers.
In recent years, according to the soil properties and market demands, Meitanba Town has encouraged farmers to plant traditional Chinese medicinal herbs such as chrysanthemums and characteristic crops, and organized agricultural technicians to guide planting and field management, in an effort to further expand the planting scale, and extend the industrial chain.
