On September 20, workers were busy harvesting different varieties of breeding rice at the Guanshan R&D base of Longping High Tech Seed Industry Research Institute in Jinzhou Town, Ningxiang City. The base is the largest commercial breeding rice base in China, with 100 hectares of test fields, 150,000 breeding materials and nearly 40,000 new rice varieties.
