Ningxiang Agriculture Science Industrial Park awarded outstanding national park
Ningxiang National Agricultural Science Industrial Park in Hunan Province was awarded the outstanding national park, according to the evaluation results released by the Ministry of Science and Technology recently.
Established in 2001, the park has won the titles of national agricultural science park, national star entrepreneurship base, national modern agricultural industrial park, and national demonstration park for integrated development of rural industries.
And it has been included in the catalogue of National Rural Entrepreneurship and Innovation Parks (Bases) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas.
Enterprises see economic benefits and improved efficiency through innovation-driven development
Hunan Ushi Dairy Co., Ltd. of Royal Group is the largest and the most intelligent liquid milk production base in Hunan province. The company adopts the whole industrial chain development mode of “company, production base, milk source base, forage base”.
Since it was put into operation, the company has invested about 5 million yuan in R&D every year, and has 2 invention patents, 9 utility model patents and 3 software copyrights.
“We attach great importance to the R&D. The product testing center can detect 133 items for food safety. It’s one of the few enterprises in China that have built their own yogurt strain bank. And the ‘national high-quality milk project’ we applied for is now waiting for the final acceptance.”
Xiao Songyi, general manager of Ushi Diary, introduced that the company has established an enterprise technology center, including diary R&D center, strain cultivation center and product testing center. It covers an area of 1,000 square meters. Equipped with advanced instruments and equipment of more than 10 million yuan, it also has more than 30 professional and technical personnel, and an expert panel composed of professors and experts from colleges and universities in the province.
Xiao Songyi is full of confidence in the future development of the company. He said that the annual output value of the company is expected to be more than 200 million yuan this year, an increase of 35%, the target output value will increase by 40% next year, and the construction of Phase II project will also be started.

Hu Yong said that the company’s secondary biological fermentation technology obtained the national invention patent. This year, about 9 million yuan has been added to research and develop the processing technology of new products such as steamed pork, mandarin fish and Dabaidiao fish. And the liquid nitrogen preservation technology was introduced to ensure the product quality.
The staff of the park said that Pengjifang and Caiyun Spices plan to be listed during the 14th Five-year Plan (2021-2025).
After more than 10 years of development, the park has formed an industrial pattern dominated by intensive processing of agricultural products and supplemented by efficient planting, characteristic breeding and agricultural sightseeing and leisure. It has made positive contributions to accelerating the development of modern agricultural industry, improving the development level of agricultural science and technology and increasing farmers’ income in the city.
Next, the park will focus on the intensive processing of agricultural products to vigorously attract investment, expand and strengthen its core area, and strive to introduce another 20 intensive processing enterprises during the 14th Five-year Plan. It will build more industries, encourage the existing agricultural product processing enterprises to strengthen development, and strive to double output value and tax revenue.
On the existing basis, by the end of the 14th Five-year Plan, the number of enterprises above a designated size in the core area will be increased to 50, and the output value and tax revenue of the park will reach 10 billion yuan and 400 million yuan respectively.
