Ms. Liu, who lives in the Xincheng market of Ningxiang City, once called the hotline many times to complain about the hotel downstairs for the cooking fumes it produced. However, with the improvement of the problem, she stopped frowning and often introduced her relatives and friends to the hotel for dinner.

In recent years, Ningxiang City Urban Administration and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau, based on experience learned from other places and combined with the local actual situation, made great efforts to control the pollution of cooking fumes and achieve practical results.

Since the implementation of the cooking fumes-free campaign in 2017, Ningxiang City Administration Bureau has thoroughly investigated more than 1,500 restaurants and more than 6,190 households in old residential areas, all of which have set up relevant work accounts and removed the listed problems.

Up to now, the urban area of Ningxiang has completed renovation of 5,000 households in old residential areas for cooking fumes and installed online monitoring systems of cooking fumes in 110 large-scale catering enterprises, and established green catering demonstration streets.
