On October 18, Changsha, Hunan Province reported an imported COVID-19 case from Jiayuguan, Gansu Province. The patient arrived in Changsha from Jiayuguan on Flight EU2446 from 13:15 to 17:45 on October 17, and had a travel history in Ejine Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia within 14 days before the onset of the virus.

In the past few days, Zhangye and Jiayuguan in Gansu province, Alxa League in Inner Mongolia and Xi'an in Shaanxi have also reported cases. In addition, local asymptomatic carriers have been reported from time to time in Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan.

Considering the particularity, complexity and uncertainty of COVID-19 prevention and control, Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued the following notice:

1. From October 19, those arriving in Hunan from Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia and Dehong Prefecture should hold a negative result of nucleic acid test within 48 hours, report to the local community (village), work unit or hotel as soon as possible, and cooperate with the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures.

2. Personnel arriving in Hunan from other provinces are suggested to hold a negative result of nucleic acid test within 48 hours, or carry out a nucleic acid test.

3. Personnel arriving in Hunan from other provinces are required to self-quarantine for 14 days. Once fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, loss of smell (taste) sensation, diarrhea and other suspicious symptoms occur, please wear a mask and go to the fever clinic of a nearby hospital in time for medical treatment. It is not recommended to take public transportation to go to hospital. You should inform your doctor of your travel history, activities you attended, and contact history.

4. The public need to strictly implement personal health protection measures, such as wearing masks, keeping social distance, avoiding gathering, frequent hand-washing and ventilation. When going to public places including medical institutions, airports, railway stations, shopping malls, hotels, cinemas, scenic spots, etc., you need to cooperate with working staff for body temperature measurement, health code and travel code checking and other epidemic containment measures.
