The first Global Economic Development and Security Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) is held from October 18 to 20 in Changsha.

The forum is the third thematic forum launched by the BFA and the first forum from the perspective of economic development and security in the world.

With the theme of economic security and sustainable development in a world of great change, the forum will hold in-depth discussions on topics such as the risks, shortcomings, and non-traditional security threats on economic development, offer forward-looking solutions, and foster a secure and stable external environment for sustainable development of Asia and the world.

The forum is co-hosted by BFA and Hunan Provincial Government and undertaken by Changsha Municipal Government.

The event will feature an opening ceremony, a general session, 22 sub-forums and over 30 activities, such as exhibitions, symposium for Chinese and foreign enterprises, youth roundtable and press conferences.

During the three-day forum, more than 2,600 guests including Chinese and foreign leaders, heads of international organizations, ministerial officials and experts from various countries will attend the conference on the site, and many other guests will attend the conference online.
