Recently, a training session for cultivating leading talents of Ningxiang swine industry was launched in Xiangdu Rural Revitalization Institute, attracting large pig breeding farmers, members of farmers’ professional cooperatives and heads of new agricultural business entities.

Ningxiang pig is one of the four famous pig species in China, and one of the first local pig species in China with national standards, with a breeding history of over 100 years. Its fat rate and lean meat rate are 43.37% and 34.72% respectively, with a golden lean meat-fat ratio. It's rich in multiple micronutrients required by the human body.

Its rich amino acid, oleic acid and linoleic acid are conducive to improving human immunity and is known as “deep sea fish oil”. With these excellent qualities and traditional feeding methods, it's very popular among customers.

Now, there are nearly ten thousand pig farmers in Ningxiang, but their skills vary considerably. Holding this training class aims to strengthen the training of farmers in ecological breeding, breeding recycling, and integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and improve their professional knowledge and ability.

And more pig enterprises and large farmers will be cultivated in Ningxiang to utilize what they have learned to industrial development, innovation and entrepreneurship. It also provides talents for the development of Ningxiang swine industry, and boost industrial upgrading and implementation of rural revitalization.
