After the "Start of Autumn", Changsha will see more rain. According to the latest forecast, there will be more rainy days, and the rainfall will increase significantly in the coming week in Changsha, followed by the long-awaited cooling.

It is not autumn now, but the rain will cool the weather. The municipal meteorological station predicts that there will be significant precipitation in Changsha with the arrival of subtropical high between August 9 and 12. The temperature is expected to drop below 30 degrees as the rain increases again from the night of August 12 to 15.

The rain has eased the heat across Hunan province. Actual monitoring has shown that there were showers or thundershowers in most areas of the province on the 8th. However, there were still 73 stations with temperature above 35 degrees, and 18 with temperature above 37 degrees, among which the highest reached 38.5 degree in Xupu county. 

According to Hunan Meteorological Observatory, there will be rainfall in western, central and northern Hunan, and torrential rains or heavy rains in localized area from tonight to the 14th. Between August 15 and 17, the rainfall will generally weaken, and the high temperature range will gradually narrow from August 9.

In general, it will rain a lot in the coming week, said the Meteorological Department. Citizens are reminded to be well-prepared for the inconvenience of traffic caused by the local severe convective weather, pay attention to water storage in ponds and reservoirs, and avoid catching colds or other diseases due to the changeable weather.
