Weishan Toufu looks white and feels soft. Tourists who go to the restaurants, Miyin Mountain Villa or farm stays in Weishan Scenic Area would like to taste Weishan Toufu.

Weishan Mountain belongs to Xuefeng Mountain ranges with an altitude of more than 900 meters. It is also the source of Weijiang River. Here the mountain spring water is famous, especially Luhua Water, rich in various trace elements such as selenium and zinc, which are good for health. Weishan Tofu made with the water is white, tender and sweet.

Weishan Tofu is made from locally produced soybeans. The production processes of Weishan Tofu are quite complex.

Firstly, the soybeans are carefully selected, washed and soaked. Next, the soybeans are ground into soybean milk through a stone mill, which then will be filtered through white percale. After boiling the soybean milk properly, gypsum powder will be proportionally added into it. About half an hour later, the soybean milk changes into white and tender tofu pudding. Finally, after putting it into the white cloth or tofu box for squeezing, Weishan Toufu is made.
