Weishan Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin Cultural Park

Weishan Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin Cultural Park is located in Ningxiang, a famous Buddhist shrine in Hunan Province.

With an area of more than 100 hectares, it boasts the world’s largest open-air Guanyin statue, attractive scenery and rich local specialties.


It is also a tourist Buddhist shrine for people to sightsee, make a pilgrimage, perform Buddhist ceremonies, spend vacation and do Buddhist academic research.
 
There is a thousand-year-old ancient temple called Miyin Temple close to the park. It was founded in the Tang Dynasty as the original temple of Weiyang sect, one of five Buddhist sects in China.


The park and the temple both enjoy a wide reputation for their thousand-year-long history.
