The CCID Industry Research Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the list of 2022 Top 100 Parks in Advanced Manufacturing Industry where Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone (NETDZ) ranks 70th, up 16 places compared with last year.

Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone has been listed as one of the top 100 parks in advanced manufacturing for three years, and has continued to advance from 88th in 2020 and 86th in 2021, to 70th this time. The park has launched five special actions including a strong manufacturing zone, a leading role in innovation, openness and integration, factor security and low-carbon development. It will also strengthen its efforts to be one of the top 50 in China by 2026. In addition, Changsha High-tech Zone and Changsha Economic Development Zone rank 15th and 30th of the list respectively.

NETDZ was established in 1998 and became a national development zone in 2010. There are more than 500 enterprises in the park, including 218 enterprises above designated size, 142 high-tech enterprises, 3 local listed enterprises, 18 enterprises invested by the Top 500, 29 listed companies, 131 intelligent manufacturing enterprises above the municipal level, forming an industrial system with intelligent appliances and green food as the leading ones and new materials as the special one.

From January to June this year, the output value of the intelligent household appliances increased by 17.7% year-on-year, the food industry increased by 16% and the new materials increased by 21.7%.
