On December 21, the results conference of the 2022 Research Report on Innovation and Development Performance Evaluation of High-tech Zones in Hunan Province (hereinafter referred to as the “Evaluation Report”) and the High-quality Development Forum of High-tech Zones in Hunan Province were held in Hengyang Hi-tech Zone.

According to the comprehensive evaluation scores, Changsha High-tech Zone and Ningxiang High-tech Zone ranked first among national and provincial high-tech zones respectively.

This year is the fifth consecutive year for the Hunan Institute of Scientific and Technical Information to carry out the performance evaluation of high-tech zones. The performance evaluation indicators of the high-tech zones in 2022 consist of innovation capability and entrepreneurial activity, structural optimization and industrial value chain, green development and livability, open innovation and international influence, etc.

Compared with the previous year, more emphasis has been placed on the creation of new driving forces, the cultivation of scientific and technological enterprises, the improvement of R&D capabilities, etc.

Greater importance has been attached to innovation capabilities and entrepreneurial activity. Multi-dimensional indicators such as total volume, increment, growth rate and intensity have been improved.

The performance evaluation objects in 2022 include 8 national high-tech zones and 38 provincial high-tech zones. The top three national high-tech zones are Changsha High-tech Zone, Zhuzhou High-tech Zone and Hengyang High-tech Zone, and the top three provincial high-tech zones are Ningxiang High-tech Zone, Yueyang Lingang High-tech Zone and Yuelu High-tech Zone.
