“It used to be off season for production at this time of the year, but we have received a larger number of orders this year, which are even more than that of the peak season,” said Peng Zhoujie, an executive of Hunan Sinoboom Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.

Peng said that they have established a team for epidemic prevention and control early in July and made plans in advance. Besides, they have informed suppliers to prepare raw materials for them in advance and transport the materials to a third-party warehouse near the company.

Meanwhile, the company tries to replace business trips with video meetings to negotiate business with other companies and even holds video meetings inside the company most of the time. Employees are required to have meals separately, live near the company, and not to leave Ningxiang unless it is necessary.

“With the above-mentioned measures, we are able to maintain normal production and finish the orders on time, while strengthening efforts on epidemic prevention and control,” said Peng.

Sinoboom mainly engages in the research, development, manufacture, sale and service of high-end aerial work equipment, with nearly 100 intelligent aerial work platforms of 6 series. It has become a leading enterprise for aerial work equipment in China.

This year, it launched scissor and arm-type  lifts, which sell well, with the orders increasing by over 50% compared with last year.

Workers are busy carrying, assembling and checking the materials in the production line of scissors lifts. “Over 270 workers are busy working to finish the orders with one product produced in just 10 minutes,” the director of the workshop said.

The company has seen a rapid growth in sales this year and is expected to achieve sales of over 2 billion yuan and pay a tax of more than 100 million yuan.

“Although we are busy completing the orders, we will never slack off in epidemic prevention and control. At present, all employees have been vaccinated and finished nucleic acid testing.” Peng Zhoujie said that the company will continue to focus on production and epidemic prevention.
