In recent years, Ningxiang High-tech Zone, with its focus on the leading industry of advanced equipment manufacturing, has become an important growth pole of Changsha equipment manufacturing industry and one of the six parks with national intelligent equipment industry clusters, by taking opportunities of building a national intelligent manufacturing center and a world-class construction machinery industry cluster.

In 2020, the park's equipment manufacturing industry chain had 80 enterprises above designated size, with an output value of about 30 billion yuan. It mainly includes 3 sectors: the construction machinery sector such as Sany Heavy Industry and Xingbang Intelligent, the electrical equipment sector such as Changgao Electric and Tianwei Electric, and the intelligent equipment sector such as Wanxin Jinggong, Zhonggu Technology and Xingyuan Technology. Xingsha Machine Tool, Bandung Intelligent, Mengde Technology, Fossett hydraulic and other key supporting enterprises of industry chain have become the core parts which support the overall development.
