Ningxiang’s enterprises accelerate intelligent transformation
Hunan CNGR New Energy Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as CNGR New Energy) was recognized as a 2023 National Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factory.
Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (referred to as Sany Heavy Industry) was recognized as a National Intelligent Manufacturing Excellent Scenario. Additionally, nine companies in Ningxiang City were recognized as 2023 Hunan Province Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprises and Benchmark Workshops.
As of now, Ningxiang City has a total of 10 national-level intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration units, 27 provincial-level units, and 257 city-level units, totaling 294.
In recent years, Ningxiang has focused on intelligent manufacturing, continually optimized the business environment, and implemented a series of measures to promote enterprise transformation and upgrading.
In 2013, Ningxiang City pioneered the subsidy for enterprises to purchase advanced equipment in the province. Over the past decade, Ningxiang City has allocated a total of 308 million yuan for intelligent technological transformation funds, subsidizing over 4,800 pieces of equipment purchased by nearly 500 enterprises, greatly enhancing their intelligent manufacturing capabilities.
The project awarded to CNGR New Energy is the Hunan Cngr Lithium Battery Ternary Cathode Material Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factory. In recent years, CNGR New Energy has actively responded to national policies and continuously deepened its understanding of digitalization in the new energy materials industry, systematically planned digitalization and intelligent construction.
On one hand, the company has been transforming existing workshops and equipment into intelligent and digitalized ones. On the other hand, for new projects, it has adopted internationally advanced processes, technologies, and equipment to maintain its advantage in the production of new energy materials.
In 2023, Cngr officially announced its "Four New Strategy of urbanization, industrialization, IT application and agricultural modernization", elevating “Operational Digitalization” to a high level in the company’s development strategy, further emphasizing that digitalization is a revolution in CNGR’s internal operations and management.
The company will build a unified digital platform, construct an agile digital operation system with distinctive CNGR characteristics, continuously promote digitalization in decision-making, research and development, manufacturing, operations, and services, enhance digital capabilities, empower operational management throughout the entire process, and achieve precise and scientific decision-making, efficient and coordinated organization, and rapid replication of models.
In this selection, CNGR New Energy’s 11 intelligent scenes comprehensively cover product design, process design, quality control, factory construction, production operations, equipment management, safety control, energy management, supply chain procurement and delivery, and supply chain services.
In addition to deeply digitizing and intelligently applying various processes, CNGR has established AI data models in research and development, transforming “expert experience” into “data information,” significantly shortening the R&D trial cycle and providing new perspectives and approaches for product development.
Sany Heavy Industry is a core business unit of Sany Group, which relocated to Ningxiang in 2009 with a registered capital of 163 million yuan, covering an area of 2,200 mu (about 146.67 hectares).
This includes Sany Truck Crane Factory, Sany Tower Crane Factory, the new Sany Crawler Crane Factory launched in 2021, and the “Dual-Chamber” Factory completed at the end of 2022.
It is mainly engaged in the research, development, production, and sales of truck cranes, all-terrain cranes, off-road cranes, special cranes, and tower cranes. It is the world's largest manufacturing base for wheeled cranes, with the capability to develop and produce a full range of wheeled crane products from 8 to 2,400 tons.
Since 2019, Sany Heavy Industry has comprehensively carried out intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation, vigorously promoting the construction of intelligent lighthouse factories.
The construction area includes the relocation of crane factories, joint workshops, new product workshops, main valve workshops, and leg workshops, totaling 300,000 square meters, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan.
In 2021, the lighthouse factory was officially put into operation, with a designed production capacity of up to 3,200 units per month. Relying on digital workshop/intelligent factory technology, automation technology, high-end CNC equipment, intelligent software systems, and other construction contents, Sany Heavy Industry explores the automation and intelligence of key processes, controls the manufacturing process, continuously improves production efficiency, reduces costs, and comprehensively enhances the quality of core components such as frames, turntables, and valve blocks for large cranes.
This is of great significance for the industrial upgrading, industrial structure adjustment, and the overall improvement of Hunan’s comprehensive competitiveness in becoming a “strong province in intelligent manufacturing”.
Meanwhile, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of the province recently issued a notice regarding the announcement of the 2023 Hunan Province Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprises and Benchmark Workshops.
Nine companies in Ningxiang City have successfully been recognized as the 2023 Hunan Province Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprises and Benchmark Workshops.
These companies are Sany Heavy Industry, Sokan New Materials, Douhe, F&let, Yacheng New Energy, Wanshsin Precision, Changgao Electric, Findreams Battery, and Sinoma Lithium Battery Separator Co., Ltd..
It is understood that a total of 60 intelligent manufacturing benchmark enterprises and benchmark workshops were selected province-wide, with those in Ningxiang accounting for over one-seventh of them.
To be recognized as a provincial intelligent manufacturing benchmark enterprise, it is required that over the past three years (2020-2022), an enterprise has effectively driven the improvement of the intelligent level in various aspects such as design, production, management, and services within the company.
Additionally, the intelligent development of the company needs to be at a leading level within the same industry in the province and at a first-class level within the industry nationwide, with a strong demonstrative effect. A provincial intelligent manufacturing benchmark workshop must be a completed project and, within the past three years (2020-2022), it has effectively driven the improvement of the intelligent level in various aspects such as research and development, manufacturing, management, and services within the company.
The intelligent development of these workshops also needs to be at a leading level within the same industry in the province and at a first-class level within the industry nationwide, with a strong demonstrative effect.
