On the morning of July 22, a batch of major projects in the third quarter of 2023 in Changsha City were started at the construction site of Zhongwei Advanced Functional Powder Materials Industrial Park in Ningxiang Economic & Technological Development Zone.
 
Ningxiang, as the main venue, is home to 77 major projects with a total investment of 32.07 billion yuan. Among them, 41 projects have been started and 36 projects have been completed. In terms of project categories, there are 59 industrial development projects with a total investment of 30.07 billion yuan, 9 infrastructure projects with a total investment of 540 million yuan, and 9 social and livelihood projects with a total investment of 1.45 billion yuan.

From the project distribution, there are 30 projects in Ningxiang Economic & Technological Development Zone with a total investment of 23.08 billion yuan, 21 projects in Ningxiang High-tech Zone with a total investment of 6.46 billion yuan, and 26 projects in Ningxiang City with a total investment of 2.53 billion yuan.
 
The Zhongwei Advanced Functional Powder Materials Industrial Park project will start the construction of a comprehensive production base and a trade center of precious metal functional materials including silver-based photovoltaic materials, platinum group electrolytic water hydrogen production and hydrogen fuel cell catalysts, and palladium series slurry.

At the same time, the planning and construction of the "Zhongwei Global Test Center" has been started, positioned as a diversified trial production base for the research and development of new energy materials and precious metal materials, and constructed to be the world's largest research and development trial production and pre-mass production verification base for new functional materials with the highest conversion efficiency.
 
The industrial park can achieve an annual output value of more than 50 billion yuan after full completion, which will create a new benchmark for the construction of other projects and inject new vitality into industrial upgrading.

At the same time, the construction of 40 projects were started, such as the second phase of Xingbang International Intelligent Manufacturing City, the second phase of Changshi Machinery, the third phase of Synes, and the quality transformation of Ningxiang Avenue, which will also ignite the “new engine” of high-quality development in Ningxiang.

Since the beginning of this year, Ningxiang has focused on leading enterprises, key projects in the industrial chain, and hi-tech projects, integrating technology, capital, market, and policies, and implementing “planned” investment promotion.

Ningxiang introduced 44 new industrial projects from January to June, including 35 industrial projects and 5 projects above 1 billion yuan. During this time, coordinated efforts have been made to support 648 projects, with 1 provincial “top ten industrial project”, 9 provincial key projects, 7 “top ten projects” in five fields in Changsha City, and 58 key projects in Changsha City. The investment of 16.508 billion yuan has been completed, taking up 70.1% of the annual investment .
