“We appeal to you sincerely to care about, publicize, and invest in Hunan Province, to bring good projects, rich funds, and high-quality talents back to your hometown and to contribute to the construction and development of Hunan Province.” On February 1, the Hunan Federation of Non-local Chambers of Commerce issued a proposal to the global merchants originated from Hunan Province, calling on them to return to their hometown to achieve the win-win goal of benefiting their hometown and developing their business.

Founded in 2013, the Hunan Federation of Non-local Chambers of Commerce is the first of its kind in the provincial level in China, and it is currently associated with more than 500 Hunan chambers of commerce with members all over the world.

According to the proposal, in the business environment evaluated by 10,000 private enterprises in 2022, Hunan Province ranked seventh in the country and first in the central and western regions.

The business environment ranking of Hunan and Changsha City achieved a "triple jump" in three years, and has become a popular place for investment and business in the central and western regions. “It is now a great opportunity for Hunan businessmen to start a business in Hunan Province, as they can enjoy unprecedented policy preferences.”

It is one of the tasks of the provincial government to promote the return of Hunan businessmen. From this year, a three-year special action will be launched to promote Hunan businessmen and entrepreneurs to return to their hometowns on a large scale.

Chen Wei, executive president and secretary general of the Hunan Federation of Non-local Chambers of Commerce, noted that the federation will build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between Hunan businessmen and the government, exert efforts in invitation of entrepreneurs, project matchmaking, field visits, negotiations, etc., and introduce more Hunan businessmen back to Hunan Province.
