On November 23, the Changsha Cultural and Tourism Investment Promotion as well as the Cultural and Tourism Integration Development Forum kicked off in Tongguan Ancient Town, Wangcheng District, Changsha.

Project construction is important for the development of the tourism industry. Changsha has planned to develop 289 major cultural and tourism projects during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, with a total investment of 231.5 billion yuan.

On the scene, 15 projects were signed including characteristic bookstores, air sports camps, historical and cultural business streets, research and education bases and water sports projects, with a total investment of 26.606 billion yuan.

At the forum on the theme of the “New Path for Tourism Development in Changsha”, experts and industry representatives gathered together to discuss new ideas and models to help Changsha develop into a world famous cultural and tourism city. William, chairman and CEO of FALUX Group gave a speech on aesthetic ecology and offered advice for the development of green tourism in Changsha.

Shan Jixiang, president of the Chinese Society of Cultural Relics and director of the Academic Committee of the Palace Museum, said that it is necessary to deeply interpret cultural heritage resources, so that they can be integrated into people’s life and become a real tourism resource.

As an important tourist destination, Changsha boasts profound cultural deposits and rich cultural heritage resources. It should embrace high-tech, tourists as well as young people, and create a new business card of cultural and tourism development in the world.

During the forum, the publicity ministers from 9 cities, districts and county of Changsha not only introduced relevant cultural and tourism resources and projects, but also recommended the rich resources and advantages of their hometown or second hometown, in an effort to attract more investment from high-quality enterprises.
