Chrysanthemums are in bloom, scenting the air in the Huazhi Agricultural Base in Dongshan Village of Ningxiang City.
The Huazhi Agricultural Base, covering an area of about 80 hectares, is planted with several varieties of chrysanthemums. There are a total of more than 40 hectares of chrysanthemums.
When the chrysanthemums are in full bloom, the flowers make the village more beautiful and bring a joy of harvest to villagers. More than a hundred flower farmers were seen picking flowers in the base. “Chrysanthemums can be ornamental, edible, and also be used as medicine,” said the manger of Hunan Huazhi Agriculture Co., Ltd.. He noted that the base has been planting chrysanthemums for 3 years with a relatively complete processing system.
