Starting from January 20, Changsha South Railway Station provides free Covid-19 nucleic acid tests for passengers. It’s available from 9:00 AM until the last passenger leaving in the evening. The results can be checked via the Wechat public account of Hunan Resident Health Card (“湖南居民健康卡” in Chinese) in about 6 hours.

“To my surprise, we can take Covid-19 nucleic acid testing free of charge in the station, which is very convenient for the public,” said Mr. Hu, who returned Hunan from Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

According to Hunan disease control and prevention departments, those who enter Hunan from other provinces should provide negative nucleic testing results within 48 hours, and do self-health monitoring for 14 days. And those who enter Hunan for urgent reasons can take nucleic acid testing nearby as soon as they arrive in Hunan.

Now, sampling points are set up at the east and west departure halls of Changsha South Railway Station. Free nucleic acid tests at the sampling points will be provided for passengers who show their valid ticket information of the day and their health codes.
