Changsha Preschool Education College expected to be completed this autumn
As one of Changsha’s 10 key projects of public service facilities, the main structure of Changsha Preschool Education College was completed on January 4 and is about to be decorated. It’s expected to be ready for relocation this autumn.
The project is located in the east of Huaqiang Avenue, Weidong New District, Ningxiang City and the north of the new campus of Changsha Health Vocational College. It includes an office building, a library, an art building, a stadium and others. It will meet the needs of teaching training, continuing education, academic exchanges and so on.
With a total investment of about 1.2 billion yuan, the project covers the total land area of about 400,000 square meters and the total construction area of 210,000 square meters.
After completion, it can allow 8,200 people to study preschool education. It’s of great significance to meet the rigid needs of cultivating preschool education teachers and promoting the high-quality development of education in Changsha.
In March last year, Changsha Preschool Education College was approved to be established. It’s built based on Ningxiang Normal School and Changsha Experimental Art School.
Founded in 1903, Ningxiang Normal School is a century-old school built by Zhou Zhenlin, a modern Chinese democratic revolutionary. Such revolutionaries of the older generation as Liu Shaoqi, Xu Teli and Xie Juezai, as well as Huang Xing, a pioneer of the democratic revolution, have studied and worked here.
The project will make the century-old Ningxiang Normal School glow with new vigor. It’s a provincial key construction project in the 14th Five-year Plan (2021-2025) and the first batch of key projects integrating production and education in Changsha.
Next, all parties involved in the project will join efforts to push the construction of the project as scheduled.
After completion, it will provide overall management services for the school through integrated management and professional operation, and realize a win-win cooperation between the two sides by building an industrial chain integrating education and production.
