During the New Year’s Day holiday, Huitang International Hot Spring Tourism Resort received more than 50,000 tourists, of whom 13,000 came to take a bath in a hot spring.
“We have received a total of over 8,000 tourists and all rooms and parking slots were occupied,” said Deng Hui, head of the Zilongwan Hot Spring Resort. According to the hotel registration, most of the tourists come from nearby areas of Changsha. Mr. Deng said joyfully: “It is attributed to the government’s policy that advocates people not to travel far during the New Year’s Day and the Spring Festival.”

“In face of the pandemic prevention and control, it is not safe to travel outside the province but we would feel regret if we idle away the holiday, so we decided to take our families to come here for enjoying the hot spring. It is relaxing to spend a whole night here,” said Mr. Wu, one tourist from Changsha who had a good time in the resort.
To enrich tourists’ experience, the resort also set up sites for tourists to take photos. People who share photos in the WeChat Moment are likely to get red envelopes and gifts such as tickets of the hot spring, salt bath, fish pedicure and so on, which attracted a large number of tourists.

“We have received over 5,000 tourists in three days, most of whom are self-driving individual tourists on family outings,” said Wu Ziqian, head of the Golden Sun Hot Spring Resort. She introduced that during the New Year’s Day holiday, self-driving tourists can get a gift package and join in the lucky draw that contains red envelopes, accommodation free cards, thermo jugs, teapots, agricultural products and so on.
“Given the reputation of the hot spring, together with the launch of various cultural tourism and entertainment activities and the government’s relevant policy, it is no wonder that so many tourists choose to take vacation in Huitang,” said the head of the Huitang International Hot Spring Tourism Resort.
