Changsha sees big temperature drop

As the fifth round of cold wave has brought a significant drop in temperature in most parts of central and eastern China, Changsha Meteorological Observatory issued a blue alert for the cold wave.

From 9:40 p.m. on December 16 to 9:40 p.m. on December 18, the temperature in Changsha is expected to drop by more than 8℃, with the lowest temperature below 4℃ and level-5 wind or above. Citizens are advised to take precautions.

There will be little precipitation in most areas of Hunan in the coming week, including Changsha. From 16th to 17th, the lowest temperature will drop to 3℃, and the wind will increase to level 5 to level 6, accompanied by light rain. From 18th to the 23rd, it will be sunny and cold, and some places will have frost in the morning.

However, the impact of this cold wave will not last too long. As the cold wave weakens, the temperature in central and eastern China will begin to rebound. At the beginning of next week, the temperature will bounce back to normal or higher level, even warmer than before the temperature drop.

Changsha will see the temperature rise again after the 21st, with the highest temperature even returning to 20℃.
