Huaminglou Town in Ningxiang City is the hometown of Liu Shaoqi, once chairman of the People’s Republic of China. It’s also a national patriotism education base and one of the first 5A tourist attractions in China.

In 2021, the town focuses on building 10 beautiful and livable villages, improving human settlements and promoting the development of rural revitalization.

This year, the town closely focused on “Red and happy Huaminglou”, and combined the construction of beautiful and livable villages with the development of red cultural tourism industry, mainly building Lijiachong Red Cultural Tourism Practice Base further extend the tourist space.

Lijiachong is adjacent to Liu Shaoqi Memorial Hall, and Guiting Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. was introduced to promote the construction of beautiful and livable Lijiachong.

With the theme of footprints of Liu Shaoqi’s important revolutionary activities, a cultural venue was built to spread the historical stories. With book rooms, homestay inns, rural cinemas and conference halls, it can meet tourists’ needs for food, accommodation, tourism, shopping and entertainment, further expanding Liu Shaoqi Memorial Hall, and transforming red culture into a driving force for economic growth.  

“This immersive experience is very novel. It seems that the scenes presented in books and photos of the memorial hall become reality. It makes me have intuitive feelings about the contributions made by our revolutionary ancestors,” a tourist said.

Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. The town takes the construction of beautiful and livable villages as the example this year to carry out the human settlement improvement.

The town has increased efforts on Blue Sky campaign, toilet renovation and village appearance improvement. After a series of measures, the rural production and living conditions and ecological environment have been greatly improved, making it a beautiful and livable place.
