Ningxiang ranks the 15th for county-level economy and county comprehensive development among 100 counties in the country, one place higher than last year, according to the “2021 County-level Economy and Development Monitoring and Evaluation Report” released by Zhongjun County Economy Research Institute on December 6.

In terms of the basic economic competitiveness, Ningxiang ranks the 18th in the country and the third in the central region, three places higher than last year, and makes it among the national top 20.

County-level economy is the material basis of the county’s development, and the basic competitiveness reflects the basic strength of a county, as well as the basic ability of county-level economic units to optimize the allocation of resources and obtain competitive advantages.

Since Ningxiang first entered the top 100 counties list for basic competitiveness in 2008, its economy has seen strong development momentum.

Ningxiang, aiming at becoming “a powerful industrial city, a city of happiness”, has rolled out a series of policies to build the city into “a demonstration zone for important national advanced manufacturing, a transformation zone for technological innovation with core competitiveness and an inland pilot area for reform and opening-up.”
