Changsha’s 7 business environment optimization cases recommended nationwide

Changsha’s business environment optimization and innovation experience in seven fields was selected for the “Best Practices” chapter of Report on China’s Business Environment 2021 complied by the National Development and Reform Commission and published recently, with the number of selected cases leading the country.

Beyond that, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area is included in the report’s “New Area Practices” chapter.

In the report, Changsha’s innovative practices in seven sectors like protection and application of intellectual property, cross-border trade and labor market regulation were selected as typical cases of best practices and recommended to the whole country.

The report sorts out the achievements and highlights of China’s business environment in 2020, and shows typical cases of 80 participating cities in optimizing business environment.

A total of 225 cases were selected from these participating cities. Only 5 cities had more than 7 selected cases each, including Chengdu, Qingdao, Chongqing, Jinan and Changsha. Changsha’s number of selected cases this time rank at the forefront.

In recent years, Changsha government has focused on optimizing business environment with the goal of becoming a benchmark city in central China, leading the country and being first-class in the world. It has attached importance to the actual feelings of market players and people who want to get government services.

It has increased efforts to improve administrative efficiency, reduce costs in actual economy, protect the rights and interests of enterprises, and facilitate the implementation of policies.

It has also focused on the construction of a fair and inclusive ecological environment in the sectors of project construction, industrial development, reginal communication and people’s livelihood. All these measures help provide strong support for the high-quality development of Changsha.

“There is no end to optimizing business environment. Changsha will follow advanced cities in China, and continue to improve its business environment with higher standards,” said Tu Wenqing, party secretary of Changsha Development and Reform Commission.

Next, Changsha will optimize government services, build a reputation for its good business environment, and further raise the profile of its business environment.
