Spartan Race first kicks off in Changsha

The launching ceremony of 2021 HiPhi Spartan Race in Changsha was held at the Hunan Provincial Sport Bureau on September 29. The race will kick off on November 6 at Huaminghu Cultural Tourism Resort. The registration channel was opened at the ceremony, welcoming sports talents from Changsha.

Spartan Race, including a series of obstacle races, is a world-famous competition which was first held in China in 2016. It has been held in Shanghai, Hangzhou and many other cities. Over the past six years, this event has been widely recognized by elite athletes and enthusiasts.

The Spartan Race was first held in Changsha this time. The contestants are expected to be about 4,000 who will be divided into children group and adult group.

The new city, new track and new partners will bring competitors a unique experience. Such classic obstacle races as Dunk Wall, Rolling Mud, Barbed Wire Crawl, Spear Throw will land in Changsha for the first time; races testing upper limb and core strength like Monkey bars, Multi-Rig, Rope Climb, Rolling Mud will present a great challenge to participants. The new obstacles in the children race will also be unveiled for the first time in Changsha.

In the past, children from Changsha had to go to other cities for the race. This year, the race gives these young warriors the opportunity to compete at their hometown. The new obstacles “Medusa’s Snake hair” and “Dunk Wall PRO” will be unveiled at Changsha.
