273 A-level tourist attractions in Hunan reopen

As the pandemic wanes further,  a total of 273 A-level tourist attractions in Hunan province have been reopened as of August 18, and many cultural venues also resumed operation one after another.

Hunan Museum

Hunan Museum was reopened to the public starting from August 18. The opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry at 16:00) of every Tuesday to Sunday, and the museum is closed on Mondays, except national statutory holidays.


The museum only allows online real-name reservation amid the Covid-19 pandemic, with a daily limit of 4,000 visitors (including exhibitions). In addition, visitors can log on the museum’s official website or Wechat official account to make reservations 7 days in advance (excluding the day).


The initial ticket release time of the day has been adjusted to 20:00 every day to facilitate reservations.

After the successful appointment, visitors can visit the museum with their appointment SMS, valid ID cards and health codes. Those who do not weak masks, do not make an appointment or have symptoms such as fever (body temperature ≥37.3°C) and cough will not be allowed to enter the museum.


During the epidemic period, the museum’s VR Digital Experience Hall and multimedia equipment in the exhibition hall are temporarily closed, and services such as team reservation, parking, guide services and educational activities are not available. Tourists can use the self-guided tour service on the museum’s official APP and Wechat account.

Hunan Library

Hunan Library resumes full operation starting from August 18, and all service windows are open normally. The opening hours are from 8:30 to 18:00 (including self-study rooms) of every Tuesday to Sunday, the library is closed on Mondays, and the ancient books reading room on the fourth floor is closed on Sundays.  


Before entering the library, readers are required to show their valid ID cards, health QR codes, travel codes and take body temperature. Special groups who have difficulties in proceeding with these procedures need to show their valid ID cards and cooperate with real-name registration and temperature measurement before entering.

Readers should wear masks, take self-protection measures, keep a distance of more than one meter from others, and avoid gathering during their stay in the library.


The library’s service areas and all facilities have been fully disinfected. The certificate handling office and each reading window have anti-epidemic supplies available for readers. Fees for virus-induced late returns of books and periodicals will be waived until August 31, 2021.

The library will also resume offline activities in an orderly manner, with the number and scale of events, and the number of participants controlled. Readers can learn about the latest news through the library’s official website, WeChat account, or Weibo account.
 
Hunan Cultural Center  

Hunan Cultural Center resumes operation partly starting from August 18. Visitors can visit some venues like Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, Art Gallery and Fine Arts Exhibition Hall before making a real-name appointment via its official platforms. Hunan Concert Hall and Mass Star Theater will remain closed. And some offline activities will also be resumed gradually.  


The opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:30 of every Monday to Sunday. Before visiting, visitors are required to make online reservations with real-name registration on the center’s official Wechat account. Tourists only make an appointment once with a same valid certificate on the day. After the successful reservation, the reservation codes or SMS will be checked before entry.

Meanwhile, visitors should wear masks and enter the center from the north gate, and cooperate with staffs to check the appointment information, body temperature (≤ 37.2°C), Covid-19 vaccination records, Hunan health codes and travel codes, as well as security inspection. Those who have body temperature higher than 37.3°C will not be allowed to enter the center.

Tourists are required to wear masks at all times, keep a distance of over one meter from others and take self-protection measures inside the center.  

Changsha Colorful World

Changsha Colorful World resumed operation on August 18, and all amusement facilities, water park, theme activities and performances in the scenic area are normally opened. On the day of the scenic area reopened, dozens of large life-sized bears appeared to accompany tourists on roller coasters and ferris wheels to have fun together.


After its reopening, strict epidemic prevention measures such as wearing masks, real-name ticketing, checking health codes and travel records are taken to create a safe and healthy environment for tourists.

 

Ningxiang Thousand-Buddha Cave Scenic Area

Ningxiang Thousand-Buddha Cave Scenic Area reopened to the public on August 18. The scenic area had been fully disinfected before reopening. A visitor cap is set at 50% of the maximum capacity. The number of daily visitors is limited to no more than 1,000. Employees’ health conditions are strictly monitored to ensure the safety of tourists.
