On August 13, Xinning Xincun Community and No.2 building of Weilai Fangzhou Community, Chengjiao Subdistrict, Ningxiang City were adjusted to low-risk areas.

At the entrance of the community, residents enter and exit in an orderly way after taking body temperature and showing their health QR codes and travel codes. As temporary sites for nucleic acid testing and residential services were removed, and staff and volunteers were withdrawing in an orderly manner, residents have gradually returned to normal life.

In the past 14 days, nearly 7,000 residents and related staff in the two communities have formed a big warm family. They worked together to overcome difficulties and finally returned to a precious normal life.

When the news came that the No.2 building of the Weilai Fangzhou Community was adjusted to a low-risk area, the residents of the community were immediately relieved. For many residents, there is a wish in their inner heart that they want to realize.

"After taking my daughter to get vaccinated today, we will go to Changsha to spend time with our parents. They've been worrying about us these days," said Wu Fang, a resident of Weilai Fangzhou Community. Recalling the experience of more than 10 days, Wu Fang got emotional. On July 26, Wu Fang went to Hubei province to visit her mother-in-law.

From August 2 to 9, she stayed in a concentrated quarantine zone in Hubei province. After the lift of the quarantine, she returned to Weilai Fangzhou Community and received quarantine at home until August 12.

“During the quarantine at home, we received supplies donated by enterprises like cooking oil, rice and porridge. Some neighbors shared their extra food with us. We comforted each other like a big, harmonious family,” said Wu Fang.

"I just want to get to work early and get back to my normal life." Chen Yan, a tenant in Xinning Xincun Community. She told reporters that the sudden outbreak disrupted the pace of life and work, but it was the care and help of the staff and volunteers that gave her and her family the strength to carry on.

" I feel very happy that the community is back to normal, and I really want to thank medical staff, police, community workers and volunteers for their hard work over these days. My greatest wish now is that everyone will be healthy and the epidemic will never resurge." A lot of touching stories happened during the quarantine: some community workers donated living materials to the poor residents and solved problems for them; neighbors cared about each other and cheered each other up; there were many volunteers working hard for epidemic containment.

Some residents posted letters of thanks in the WeChat group to express their gratitude to the 73 property management staff and 128 volunteers in the Weilai Fangzhou Community for their 14-day hard work on anti-epidemic efforts.

On the early morning of July 29, more than 160 Party members and cadres from the subdistricts and communities quickly joined in the fight against the epidemic. In the dark of night, they locked down two communities, and promptly carried out nucleic acid testing. At dawn on July 29, the tracing, centralized quarantine and nucleic acid sampling of the two communities were basically completed.

Yue Zhiqiang is deputy party secretary of Shiquan Community where Xinning Xincun Residential Community is located. He served as acting party secretary during the outbreak. And his family also lives in the community.

On the early morning of July 29, due to work, he did not go home before the community was closed. During this period, he lived in the office with the community staff and volunteers. They were on duty 24 hours a day and slept on the floor of the meeting room in the evening.

"10 of us shared one room, four on camp beds and six on the floor. We took a shower with cold water. What I ate most these days is instant noodles," said Liu Yajun, director of the Comprehensive Agricultural Service Center in Chengjiao Subdistrict,. He told reporters that Yue Zhiqiang was hit by an electric tricycle at noon on Aug. 4 when he was working to distribute supplies, but he never told his family about it.

In order to reassure residents, all cadres of the subdistrict, cooperating with property management staff and volunteers, conducted thorough disinfection in the community, maintained order in the nucleic acid testing site, and strengthened epidemic-related publicity, so as to build an "iron wall" to stem the spread of the virus.

In addition, the two communities set up a material distribution station to help residents with supplies delivery, and arranged psychologists to provide psychological counseling when necessary in WeChat groups.

In the face of the sudden outbreak of epidemic, all people have stood together and pulled together. No new cases have been reported for 14 days, and the region has been lifted from a medium-risk area to a low-risk area. This is the best reward for everyone's efforts.
