Reputed as the "Holy Mountain of Southern China", Huilong Mountain is an important Buddhist cultural tourist attraction in central Hunan. It is 68 kilometers from Changsha City, 50 kilometers from Huaminlou Town, and 15 kilometers from Huitang Town, with the Ningxiang-Hengshi highway and the Luoyang-Zhanjiang railroad running through it.

Its mountain range is like a green dragon galloping to the west, with sudden twists and turns. At an altitude of 366 meters, Huilong Peak, the main peak of Huilong Mountain, is quite rugged with towering peaks covered with lush vegetation. At the top of the mountain, there is a basin with more than a hundred acres of emerald green bamboos. The bamboo leaves often sway gently in the breeze, and white clouds float slowly overhead, hence the name“White Cloud Nest”.

With a history of more than 1,000 years, Baiyun Temple on the Huilong Mountain is one of the 100 most famous temples in China. The Huilong Mountain is planned to be built into a six-square-kilometer AAAA ecological and leisure scenic area within ten years with the theme of Buddhist culture tourism, integrating leisure vacation and sightseeing. Huilong Mountain is becoming more prominent as a famous Buddhist mountain and tourist destination in Hunan Province.
