Ningxiang Country Garden School was founded in 2014 by Bright Scholar Group (formerly Country Garden Education Group), a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the largest K12 education group in China. It is located in Ningxiang High-tech Zone of Changsha city (beside Country Garden Mountain Lake City). The school covers an area of nearly 140 mu ( 93,334 square meters) and has a construction area of 100,000 square meters. It is known for its high-end facilities and first-class campus environment.
 
The school is a member school of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and the first international school with a consecutive 16-year education system in Hunan. It now has four divisions: an international kindergarten (including bilingual classes), an international primary and secondary school, an international high school and a bilingual high school (China General High School). At present, there are nearly 900 students and 197 faculty members, including 120 front-line teachers.
 
The main orientation of Ningxiang Country Garden School is internationalization, and its educational concept is to cultivate international elite talents with the Huxiang spirit, the national spirit and a global vision for national rejuvenation and development of the era. Students are trained with two major focuses; one is from the international high school where the goal is to apply for famous overseas universities, and the other is from the bilingual high school where the goal is to be admitted by high-quality domestic universities.
