Since the beginning of this year, Hunan Hengjia New Materials Technology Co., LTD., based in Ningxiang Economic & Technological Development Zone, has carried out production and operation work and the epidemic prevention and control in a coordinated way.
Focusing on the target tasks, it has optimized the product mix and accelerated industrial transformation and upgrading. The output value in the first quarter increased by about 30% over the same period last year, making a good start for the year.

Established in December 2007, the company mainly produces three series of products—microchannel flat tube, round tube, and high-performance aluminum alloy plate, which are widely used in fields like household appliances, aircraft, automobile and high-speed railway.

With more than 120 sets of production and testing equipment, the company can yield more than 100,000 tons of aluminum alloy new material products a year. The products popular at home and abroad have generated more than 700 million yuan of sales revenue in 2021.
In the workshop, production lines run at full speed in an orderly way with collaboration of workers and machines. 

“Influenced by the Covid-19, all industries are seeing slump market. However, we can't meet orders even at full capacity, which has ‘troubled’ us a lot,” noted Yao Yong, general manager of the group.

According to him, after the upgrading and transformation of equipment and products last year, the demand has become so high that their output fails to fill the orders, despite that the output value in the first quarter of this year increased by about 30% compared with the same period last year. 

At the same time, to improve production capacity and increase market share, the company is building the third plant, which is expected to be completed and put into operation in September this year.

Amid the severe and complex situation caused by the pandemic, Hengjia New Materials has set an example on seeking a way out in the crisis— to enhance core competitiveness through innovation.

As a high-tech enterprise specializing in the development, production and sales of aluminum and such aluminum alloy products as ingot, bar, plate, tube, wire, the company has enhanced the core competitiveness and made constant scientific and technological breakthroughs relying on its self-owned innovation team, university-enterprise cooperation and scientific research institutes since the outbreak of Covid-19.

By the end of 2021, the company has 22 authorized patents, including 7 invention patents and 15 utility model patents. The independently developed high-performance 5083 and 6061 aluminum alloy plates highly praised by customers have filled the gap in the field of high strength, high toughness and corrosion resistant aluminum alloy plate in Hunan Province. This have strengthened the core competitiveness of the rail transit industry and further extended the rail transit industry chain in Hunan.

Next, the company will step up efforts in technological innovation and equipment renovation and introduce advanced intelligent equipment to drive its transformation, upgrading and high-quality development, ensuring that the annual output value will exceed 1 billion yuan this year.
