Canpure’s PVDF ultrafiltration membrane makes cleaner water
Founded in Canada in 2003, Canpure is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huazi Technology Co., Ltd, which focuses on high-tech membrane research and development, membrane modules and membrane complete sets.
In recent years, the company has been strengthening efforts on membrane research and development, aiming to launch a batch of products suitable for China’s national conditions, with PVDF ultrafiltration membrane as the shining example.
This membrane, which is made of high polymer material, with hollow fiber membrane as its main body, can remove suspended solids in water by means of a certain physical force when the raw water passes through the ultrafiltration membrane. Therefore, it can ensure cleaner and purer water through an efficient and complete filtration.
“Next year, 7% of the annual output value will be invested in the basic research and development,” said He Shuiping, deputy general manager of the company. According to He Shuiping, the company’s investment in research and development has exceeded 35 million yuan, which is estimated to reach 60 million yuan at the end of the year.
The quality products can be attributed to the great investment in research and development. Compared with traditional techniques, PVDF ultrafiltration membrane boasts stronger pressure resistance, filtration accuracy and pollution resistance as it is equipped with a dense filter trap, with 18,000 to 20,000 pores evenly distributed.
More than 10 workers are busy working at the construction site of PVDF ultrafiltration membrane workshop. According to He Shuiping, Canpure has achieved many technological achievements in the past 20 years. As of the end of 2019, the PVDF ultrafiltration membrane has purified water of more than 9 million cubic meters per day, and the EDI membrane has purified water of more than 1.3 million cubic meters per day in China.
After settling in Ningxiang EDZ in 2019, the ultrafiltration membrane project has been accelerating, part of which has been put into operation. At present, 4 semi-automated production lines of PVDF ultrafiltration membrane have been put into operation, and 5 automated production lines are under fitment and decoration, which will be put into operation partly at the end of the year.
In order to catch up with our plan, Canpure is now conducting the construction, research and development and production simultaneously, striving to reach the annual production capacity of 3 million square meters next year and the annual capacity production of 10 million square meters within two or three years.
