The global R&D base is the Phase III project of Hunan Zoomwe New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone (NETDZ). It focuses on the research and development of lithium battery precursor materials, supporting nickel cobalt resources and battery recycling, which can realize an annual production of 35,000 tons.

When completed, it will help accelerate the goal of a thousand-acre Zoomwe Town and a 10-billion-yuan industrial park. At that time, a world-class new energy material production base integrating the R&D, sales and recycling of lithium battery cathode material precursors will be formed.

The construction of the project was started in March this year and is expected to be completed before the Spring Festival in 2022. After the project is put into operation, it will help improve the company's product supply capacity and meet the rapidly growing demand for ternary precursors.

After the industrial park of Zoomwe new energy is put into operation, it can realize an annual output value exceeding 20 billion yuan and provide 2,000 jobs.

“Due to a wide range of sales orders and business volumes, we need complete the Phase III project within ten months.” Now workers are busy with project construction in the heat.

Lin Yuehong, the project manager, said that with regular epidemic prevention measures in place, the project is under construction smoothly and is expected to be completed as scheduled.

Lin said that due to the booming market demand, Zoomwe Group Headquarters required the Phase III project to be put into operation by the end of this year. 

In order to help the smooth progress of project construction, NETDZ has provided all possible support and services for Zoomwe such as safety training, resource guarantee, and a green channel in all links such as approval and transportation.

Liu Ruoyu, deputy director of the Economic Development Office and director of the project service center in NETDZ, said that NETDZ has further strengthened the quality and safety supervision of the project, provided heatstroke prevention materials in the intense heat.

At the same time, in view of the severe power consumption peak this year, the power consumption of this company was adjusted in time to ensure its production and construction.

Cadres and staffs of NETDZ canceled their annual leave and more than 100 cadres were divided into eight teams to provide services for enterprises. There are 43 key industrial projects under construction in NETDZ.
