China Resources C'estbon Beverage (Changsha) Co. Ltd. settled in Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in October 2012 and was put into operation in August 2013, mainly producing pure drinking water with C'estbon brand. The factory has 220 staffs, with an annual production capacity of 50 million cases of pure water, totaling 750,000 tons. “The factory's output value reached 568 million yuan from January to May this year, up 60 percent from a year earlier. The plant's six production lines have been running at full capacity since May, and annual pure water production is expected to exceed 730,000 tons this year,” said Chen Yan, the production manager.

Six semi-automatic production lines are running at full throttle, with one line producing 30, 000 cases of bottled water a day, which are sent to the warehouse on a conveyor belt. The warehouse is filled with green and white cardboard boxes. Forklifts shuttle back and forth in the warehouse, carrying products to big trucks. Stevedores tied with safety ropes are loading the trucks. The company has entered the peak season of production and sales this summer.

“With 10 workers, each production line operates 24 hours a day to ensure market supply. The monitoring of the production process and inspection and testing of product quality has been improved so as to provide safe and high-quality drinking water for our customers," said Xu Zhiguo, a lean engineer of the company.

"The company's per-mu (about 666 square meters) tax exceeded 1 million yuan in 2019. Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, the company's annual output decreased slightly, but it still reached 512,000 tons, with an annual output value of 1.04 billion yuan and an average per-mu tax of nearly 1 million yuan,” said Chen Yan.

The company has increased its efforts to expand market and sales and its sales realized steady growth this year. At present, the market share of C'estbon pure water in Hunan has exceeded 40%.
