On March 30, at the construction scene of BLOSSOM project in Ningxiang High-tech Zone, the first production line of the No.2 workshop has been able to produce qualified products. The second production line is also under debugging.

Changsha BLOSSOM Project Base (hereinafter BLOSSOM) is one of ten industrial projects of Hunan Province in 2022, as well as the biggest newly introduced "double hundred" project (adding 100 enterprises with yearly tax revenue of over 1 million yuan by 2024 and adding 100 enterprises with yearly tax revenue of over 10 million yuan by 2026) of Ningxiang City in 2021.

After being fully completed and put into operation, the base will be a lithium power giant with an annual output of 300 thousand tons of lithium iron phosphate and a total value of 30 billion yuan in Ningxiang. By then, Ningxiang will become the largest production base of lithium iron phosphate in the central region, injecting  huge kinetic energy into Changsha's energy storage material industry.

Driving through Jinzhou Avenue to the high-tech zone, you will see a building under construction. The scientific research building is expected to be completed in April, which will then be the highest scientific research building in Ningxiang High-tech Zone.

In recent years, Ningxiang High-tech Zone has been developing advanced energy storage material, which is the 6th manufacturing industry cluster of 100 billion yuan in Changsha. The operation and production of BLOSSOM's projects will further strengthen the industrial chain.

According to the plan, with a total investment of about 12 billion yuan, BLOSSOM will achieve an annual output of 300,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate, including about 3 billion yuan of fixed asset investment and 600 mu (40 hectares) of land. The project is divided into two phases, of which the first phase investment of 6 billion yuan, 309 mu (20.6 hectares) of land, and annual output of 150,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate.

"At present, the sampled products are under inspection. We plan to put it into full production in June 2023. After the completion of the first phase of the project, the annual output value will be increased by about 10 billion yuan," the director of general manager office Ouyang Yun told reporters.
