Ningxiang High-tech Zone was on the list of the first batch of National Patent Navigation Service Bases, which was announced by the Intellectual Property Utilization Promotion Department of China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently.

The Patent Navigation Service Base for Energy Storage Materials Industry in Ningxiang High-tech Zone is located on the east side of the second floor of the Management Committee Complex of the Park, covering an area of more than 1,200 square meters.

The navigation service base is guided by Hunan Intellectual Property Administration and Changsha Intellectual Property Administration, under the overall planning of the Management Committee of Ningxiang High-tech Zone, and its construction, operation and management are undertaken by Hunan Xiaoxiang Higher School of Intellectual Property Co., Ltd.

The navigation service base, together with provincial, municipal and district intellectual property-related departments and the advanced energy storage material industry chain office, seeks to provide services for relevant enterprises on the advanced energy storage material industry chain, such as patent navigation, personalized database construction, enterprise information collection, patent retrieval analysis, publicity and training, patent navigation achievements promotion, patent technology achievements transformation and application, etc.

At present, the navigation service base has built a service platform system for high-value patent mining (patent navigation) of energy storage industry and new material industry according to the local characteristic energy storage material industry of Ningxiang, and has established and continuously updated industrial and enterprise patent databases.

It is also equipped with the patent information service platform, InteDiscovery analysis system, patent value evaluation system, new generation information retrieval system and other intelligent system tools and patent big data resources, which will continuously empower the high-quality development of industrial economy and scientific enterprises in the park.

Ningxiang High-tech Zone has made efforts to cultivate energy storage materials (battery materials) as a characteristic industry, focused on the coordinated development of the “three chains”, namely, industry chain, innovation chain and service chain. And it has initially built a leading energy storage materials industry cluster in Hunan and an influential one in China.

Also, it has been successively approved as the National Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection New Materials High tech Industrialization Base, the National Battery Materials New Industrialization Industry Demonstration Base, and the National Energy Storage Materials Torch Characteristic Industry Base.

At the same time, it's been recognized as the only energy storage material characteristic industrial park in Hunan Province and the core park of the advanced manufacturing cluster of energy storage materials in Hunan Province, as well as the leading park of the energy storage material industrial chain in Changsha.
