Ecology and Environment Department of Hunan Province released the Hunan 2021 Environmental and Credit Rating Results of Provincial and Above Industrial Parks, and 10 industrial parks were honored with the title of "Reliable Environmental Parks", with Wangcheng Economic Development Zone, Jinxia Economic Development Zone and Ningxiang High-tech Zone included in the list.

The environmental and credit rating is designed to regulate and strengthen the ecological environment management of industrial parks in Hunan Province, and then to enhance their modernization level of environmental governance system and governance ability.

The rating scores the involved industrial parks according to five evaluation indicators including environmental access administration, environmental infrastructure as well as environmental monitoring and supervision ability.

According to the results of evaluation, there are three credit rating levels: reliable eco-friendly park, qualified eco-friendly park and risky eco-friendly park.

In accordance with the Regulation of Environmental and Credit Rating of Industrial Parks in Hunan Province (Trial), for reliable eco-friendly industrial parks, the authorities will not only simplify procedures in aspects like project examination and approval, allocation of special funds and subsidies, approval of eco-friendly science and technology projects as well as award appraisal, but also reduce the frequency of inspection in environmental law enforcement.

By coordinating with relevant provincial departments, the authorities should also give preferential policies in aspects like land for construction, financial support and investment attraction.
