Based on the new energy industry, Findreams Battery is an independent entity of BYD Group which is specialized in 3C batteries, power batteries, energy storage batteries and echelon utilization. Its products are applied in many fields like IT, automobile, new energy and rail transit, etc. With more than 20 years’ history, the company boasts a complete battery industry chain and independent R&D centers, for which it has attracted many business partners at home and abroad.

The company has established 15 major production bases in more than 10 cities across the country. Changsha Findreams is the second manufacturer of blade batteries in the wake of Chongqing.

“A super factory for blade battery”, the slogan came into sight when the reporter walked into the company’s production hall.

“Why is it called a super factory?” Comparing with traditional batteries, the “blade battery” has competitive edges in safety, endurance and life, volumetric energy density and discharge. Specifically, its volume utilization rate has increased by 50%, and its endurance can match that of high-energy ternary lithium batteries. The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes, and can be recharged more than 5,000 times.

According to statistics from BYD, the company has sold 79,037 passenger vehicles this September, a year-on-year increase of 93.2 % and a month-on-month increase of 16.9%; among them, 70,022 new energy passenger vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 276.4%. In the third quarter, the company sold more than 200,000 vehicles.

The new energy vehicles also saw a good overseas market. Not long ago, 450 BYD Tang EV automobiles were shipped from Guangzhou Port to Norway. So far, BYD has sold more than 1,000 automobiles of this type. As early as May of this year, BYD announced that 5,000 automobiles will be sold to Norway this year, which will be the first stop in opening up the European market.

“As the world’s first pure electric SUV, Tang EV is equipped with blade batteries and well-received by European customers,” said a staff from Changsha Findream.

Changsha Findreams has 4 production lines, which are distributed in different floors of the first and second plant. In the huge workshop, there are only several workers who are monitoring the production processes via computers. In the performance inspection workshop, four robots lift each battery to another production line after completing packaging.

Changsha Findreams boasts the world’s first six-generation power battery production line which can realize the automation and informatization via robots and information systems, and the interconnection of the hardware and software. Automation and precision is applied to battery batching, coating, rolling, welding, liquid injection, testing, etc. The company is committed to building the world’s most advanced power battery production line and upgrading the battery industry.

“Each production line makes a battery in 6 seconds.” According to the staff, the 4 production lines which are under further improvements can produce nearly 50,000 batteries a day. “The output value is expected to reach 3 billion yuan this year and 10 billion yuan next year," said the staff.

The company cooperates with local enterprises in positive and negative materials, membrane and other raw materials.

Before the National Day, three key energy projects were started simultaneously on the south side of Jinzhou Avenue. Blossom Group has invested 1.2 billion yuan to the lithium iron phosphate project which will see an annual output of 200,000 tons. Brunp, a subsidiary of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. has invested 1.4 billion yuan to disassemble 10,000 new energy vehicles and recycle100,000-ton power batteries.

Hunan Shinzoom Technology Co., Ltd. has invested 1 billion yuan in building an anode material production base. The completion of these projects will greatly boost the industrial chain of advanced energy storage materials in Changsha.
